I would describe these roosters as earthenware. The finish is matte and the colors are dull yellow, blue, green, and some red. They are about 12 inches tall. They are in good condition, but there is a chip on the base of one of the roosters. I am told that my great-grandmother purchased these in Savannah, Georgia from an antique store. Since she died before I was born, I would guess she purchased these roosters between the 1940s-early 1960s. The roosters have been passed to my grandmother, my mother, and now to me.
