Hi, a friend of mine purchased a Globe Bosse World bed frame made in Factory 2-4 and was wanting to find out the history, time frame for when it was made. An approximate value would be nice. She is not wanting to sell it but just find out some additional information on it. Thank you.
The bedroom set-
I can't really find any information on it. I'm trying to find out what it is worth or the market value. I do have the keys for the drawers of both dressers the furniture itself is in great condition I believe. The lady who gave them to me stated that she thought that it was mahogany wood but I'm unsure.
Dining set-
I couldn't find any Maker's Marks or tags on any of the dining set. On the back of some of the pieces and bottoms it says mahog. I do have a cover for the table, and five regular chairs and one Captain chair they are all Shield back they are all intact and that's all I really know.
This set of cup and saucer belonged to my grandmother and was recently passed on to me. It is in fantastic condition, and the mark "Capodimonte, Italy" can be clearly read on the bottom of each individual piece, along with the number 738. The cup has a completely golden interior, and the handle also has the same colour. The outer wall of the cup is intricately decorated with hand-painted pictures of very young boys picking and holding apples. The whole piece is also textured, with the boys standing in relief against the background. The same pattern repeats in the saucer, with the centre being completely golden, and the edge decorated with the hand-painted boys in relief.
I would very much appreciate if anyone could help me determine the period of these pieces and how much they might be worth. Thank you in advance!
