The chest was built in 1937 and is called a Dowery Chest according to Lane Co. I have seen many hope chests but none with the back trinket trays and clock.
mirror: tarnished silver, glass not broken, very heavy,its got flowers on it, brush: its heavy in hand, bristel are soft and high quality, elaborate design in silver, comb: sterdy plastic comb with removable silver trimming.
THIS CHAIR IS IN GREAT SHAPE. THE WOOD IS NOT DAMAGED AT ALL.. THE FABRIC IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE.THE SEAM ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE SEAT NEEDS TO BE RESTICTCHED,BUT NOTHING IS MISSING OUT OF IT EVERYTHING IS INTACT.
My dad past away in July of this year and I found it in his home. He has a lot of this but this was the only thing that seemed worth anything. Hopefully we will be able to pay some of his bills off.
