I have four Tell City Chair Co. chairs. The pattern number is 4561 and the original stain was Walnut #30. The chairs all have the pattern number, # 40 and sequential numers 1-4 (each chair numbered separately). The seats have been recovered and the stain removed. The wood has been oiled but not restained. I would like to know the current value for the set of four. Any help would be appreciated. I believe the chairs were purchased along with a Kiel dining room table in the late 60's by my family. The table is also listed on the site here.
Table is from Kiel Furniture Co. in Milwaukee. There is a Watertown Slide on it that states it was patented June 18, 1898 - October 1, 1912. There is a longer number that is only partially legible and a 4 digit number (5559) under that and under the 2nd number is the word local. I believe the table was purchased used by my family in the late 60's from a neighbor. Orignally it was stained a dark walnut color. The veneer top was ruined at some point. A wood grain formica top was put on to replace the veneer and the dark stain was removed and the wood oiled but not restained. I would like to know the current value in it's current state. Any help would be appreciated.
