savonarola wrought iron chair

Category
Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

This chair was in my grandmothers house and my mother remembers it when she was young - thats the extent of my knowledge I'm sorry to say. I doubt that the leather seat and backrest are original, as I know the lacing cord is not, as my aunt re-laced them at some point due to the previous rotting away. The frame is lightly rusted, the arms worn and have a pitted appearance, it is welded well and solid, weighing 28+ lbs. It appears semetrical but actually has slight differences from right and left, specifically the turns of the flat iron is not some production exact copy, and they are not welded exactly center of the flat iron, differing about 3/16" in their placement, everything else seems to match  precisely. I don't notice any seams in the round stock, and from the weight of it i say the iron is all solid, not tubing. I have google lens'd it and can not find any exact match, as it doesn't fold, isn't fancy ornate. I have gone over the entire frame by magnifying glass and see no designer markings or any markings whatsoever. I can't tell if this is from 1962 or 1762

Antique Rocking Horse

Category
Antique Toys
Condition
Good
Description

I have an antique rocking horse that I would like an appraisal on.  It is appr. 26 in. in height and 28 in. total length.  There are two flaws, the handles on the head are broken off and on the end of one of the rails it looks chewed on.  This was originally purchase at an antique store about 30 years ago by my husband and he passed.  I do not know what he paid for it.

George F Bowers Teapot and sugar bowl

Category
Ceramics and Porcelains
Condition
Excellent
Description

This teapot and sugar bowl was given to my husband by his grandmother. All I know is that the shape dates back to approximately 1843. It has the Staffordshire knot stamp, but faded so difficult to see. Both items are in excellent condition.
