I purchased this drawing from the daughter of the subject. It appears to be the kind of portrait done by a street vendor or at a fair booth, but it is very well done. I have been trying to find out more about James Reynolds and whether he ever worked at something like that (I know he didn't start doing western paintings until later).
Any information on the value would be very much appreciated, and I would consider selling it.
This has been passed down from my great-grandparents, it either comes from Italy or the Mediterranean area. It is made of solid copper and all of it is original besides the brass cap wick. One side has a man looking through a keyhole, and the other side is of a naked woman. Is this a piece that is worth something significant?
I found this beautiful antique rocker at a flea market today. I would love to have an idea of era, history and value. It has the original upholstery with only light staining and a small tear. Would it be worth it for me to take it to a restorer? I have no knowledge of antiques but thought this was very original. It sits on a rocker with metal springs - I've included photos. Very sturdy and solid.
