Antique stone carving

Category
Other
Condition
Fair
Description

I took this to an antique dealer and he seemed to think it was called a gate watcher depicting Saint Peter and although it is very old could not date it. He offered to buy it but I wanted to find out a bit more about it. It is made of some kind of stone and has an iron strap holding it.
