My wifes parents saw out WWII as refuges in Shanghia. They came to australia in the 1950's and the cocktail shaker has been in a closet since then. on the bottom it says Sterling and Nambu. I believe this is a Japanese manufacturer.
The upper half of the shaker is heavily decorated with scribing. There is a screw on pouring spout with chain and the top is a metal stopper with cork insert.
If the photo isn't coming through I can email it seperately.
