Bisque Porcelain Wall Hangings

Category
Ceramics and Porcelains
Condition
Good
Description

These two wall hangings appear to be bisque porcelain. I think the cherubs depicted are a boy and girl. The surface is pink, and the depiction is white, and doesn't appear to be painted. They have a somewhat griity feel. One of the cherub's hands is chipped off, and has been as long as I have can remember. Dimensions are not exact, as they appear to be hand-molded, and on the back right center is the marking. There are two holes at the top of each, which used to have a hemp string attached, but they broke off some years ago.

Stoneware Bottle

Category
Antique Bottles
Condition
Excellent
Description

This piece was given to my Dad as a lamp. It seems to be made from some sort of pottery medium. The outer surface is painted shiny black, the "N" is embossed, with gold paint over it, as well as the frame of the picture. The picture itself looks like it could be from the Revolutionary War era, or maybe French or Spanish, as the soldier in the picture is wearing some type of uniform. There are no marks on the bottom, and it is indented about 1/8 inch underside. bottle is smooth, with no seam lines, and the lip appears to be part of the piece. I believe the original cork stopper is in place.
