19th Century Suzani Embroidery

Category
Vintage Textiles and Clothing
Condition
Excellent
Description

Antique 19th century Suzani Embroidery, family heirloom over 120 years old which has been in the family forever. It apparently belonged to my mother's great grandmother. It has no maker markings on it but there is a small number 88 in one corner that looks almost calligraphic which could possibly mean 1888. There are also pencil marks on it where they drew the pattern on. My mother had it appraised in the 80's at about $3,000 and I'm wondering what it could possibly be worth today and perhaps would maybe sell it. Both sides are different. One has very elaborate stitching on it and the other is what looks to be possibly a dyed pattern. The fabric on the back is different then the fabric on the front and the border fabric is different as well.

Barbour Silver Co quadruple Silver #101

Category
Silver and Silver Overlay
Description

This Item was handed down from Grand Parents.

Worth?

On the bottom of the base is:         Barbour Silver Co. quadruple Silver

This base holds a red colored glass vase with flowers painted on the outside of vase.

There are two arms or sides which are on opposite sides.

The top of the vase is ridged like a flower.

Also, there is a fork with it.  I'm not sure if it belongs with item.

I posted a picture of it on my profile face picture spot.

Hope that's enough for you to help identify it.

Thank you,

gracianod

Antique jars

Category
Glassware and Crystal
Condition
Fair
Description

I have two identical hand painted glass jars.  They are about 5" tall and 2.5" diameter.

Each is a frosted gren color.  They appear to have lead panels painted with filigre and flowers painted in each panel.  Each is hand numbered, one is # 2, the other # 50

The hand painted flowers, 4 per jar are very ornate.  Each jar is designed to hold a glass stopper that is not there, and unfortunately, both are chipped or has broken piece on the stoper flange.

There is a stamp at the bottom that may have been stamped from inside...the top word id not legible, and the bottom barely legible and looks like it says Slovacia
