This piece looks to be a sleeper. It has dovetailed joints and looks like cedar on sides of drawers. Big hideous knob may not be original.Looks to be stained a reddish color
yard saled this 2 months ago for $5.00 (five) and I plan to restore it and fabricate the broken handle using the other handle for a template. I have been trying to find another so I can see if the missing broken panel had a handle attached to get it close as possible. It's got two wooden wheels at 14" and one 5"wheel It's 28.5 tall 16.5 wide and 24" long. I'm usually pretty good with dates but this simple primitive piece keeps saying it's more like 1800's rather than 1900's The third wheel is attached to the swivel mount via copper braid of some sort. Looks to be 1/4 sawn oak but I could be way off. I'm guessing the removeable tray had upholstery or mirror..?? Any help would be awesome.
Solid oak desk. Apparently used to be an old sewing machine desk since the top part can open up to reveal a lower platform (for a sewing machine?) underneath. 3 drawers on the right side.
Made entirely of solid oak including the veneer. 3 smaller drawers across the top, 1 large drawer in the center spanning the length of the buffet, 3 cupboards below - centre cupboard opens up to 3 drawers. Mirror piece sits on the top back. A few water stains on the surface. Any ideas as to how much I could sell it for?
2 small drawers with glass knobs next to a hat box with glass knob and 3 larger drawers underneath with glass knobs. Metal roller wheels in bottom of four feet. Light wood color, veneer top, no markings except for the back has the numbers 3159 stenciled (burnt ?) onto back.
