This painting was given to me by a friend who was in the army and stationed in Germany. He purchased it during his stay there. We have the sales receipt and the Certificate of Legitimacy. We are desperately trying to sell it and would like to know how much we can expect to get from it.
Twin butter dish stamped on bottom EPC Poole Silver 405. The bottom has four feet and is recessed for two sticks of butter. Each recess has a lid of its own to cover the butter. The pattern looks like a rose pattern (unknown rose).
My neighbor found it in his attic in So. California, thought it was cool and hung it on his wall. He owed me some money so I ask for the painting as payment since I loved the colors and style and he gave it to me.
The table top is a fine leather with a 2" wood barrier. The 3 chairs are wooden legs and frame with leather on the seat and back. Under the table and under the seat on the 3 chairs it is hand written 58/39. Does this mean that there were only 58 made? It is also stamped under the table 629X.
