I have a wooden chest with the label George Zee & Co. Art Carved Furniture Manufacturers 142 Nanking Rd. Eastern Shanghai Cable Address "Goergze" Made in China. I believe as a child I was told it was toe carved but do not know any other history. During my research of this item I see that many of his pieces were made in Hong Kong and this piece was made in China. It has no serial # on the label as it may be possible this was made before Mr. Zee moved his business to Hong Kong and began adding serial #'s to his work. If anyone knows any info on this piece Please contact me. Thank you so much.
purchased some 15 yrs ago in the south west of england a large original oil by Robert Cox of a very large bowl of flowers,beutifully painted and in excellent condition.
Robert cox unfortunately died in 2001.

This field is required but I don't know anything about this figurine, only that it says Depose Italy and marked with a spider mark. The figurine is a man with a tophat, long beard to the ground, moustache, holding in his right hand a puppet on a stick, and in his left hand he is holding a whip.
