Walnut cabinet decorated with 24 (silver 800) stamped tile plaques.
The cabinet has a marble top.
The tiles are decorated by reproducing images of Pisano's marble tiles ascribed to Giotto.
They depict 24 of his Activities of Man.
The silver tiles are embossed with particular technique of the engraver's burin. Stamped 800, with a makers mark also.
Inside the cabinet are two internal drawers with dovetail drawers.
There is also one shelf.
The doors to the cabinet are hinged in the top and bottom of the door.
Inside the doors, on each door is an engraved in English plaque.
One side credits Giotto and Pisano, and also Maso da Banco for the original 13th century marble tiles, which have been reproduced and reposed into silver tiles.

I am trying to find out more about this piece, I would like to know the period, the origin, I am not sure if it is English or Italian,and the potential value.
I am currently cleaning the cabinet as you can see from photos
We picked this up today from a local antique shop, and are curious about it's history, date and value. It was made by Webster Mfg. Co, and has the identifiers 1997-6 and G-0 on it's tag.
