I picked this jewel up unknowing what it was. It is really heavy for its size and examining the paint a little closer you can determine that the paint seems withered and somewhat old. I'm not sure of the origins of this piece are but it does seem pre industrial civilization. The picture on top depicts two Asian men playing a game on a horse. I believe it might be Mongolian but the men do not seem to be warriors and I'm not educated enough to decipher its ethnicity. They seem to be playing a sport that involves a ball and two pitch fork- like objects. One of the horses are blue as the other is red. I am very interested in maybe learning more of this amazing history and thank you for reading
I have an antique Dining table that extends out from a round table to a oval with five leaves...has five solid legs, quite heavy...I believe it is maple wood, could be off on that...I have heard thru family that I am fourth generation to own it...the feet on this table are beautiful and unusual...I am hoping you can give me some info on it...Thank for what ever you are able to find out...Linda Larfield
I adjusted the photo of signature to make it more readable. Signatue reads Leo Something (Labuh, Tabuh, Tabih, Labih, Maybe first letter is an F). See photos
I have been trying to identify the artists signature on the back of this piece for sometime. I would like to purchase more of their stuff. If anyone knows who this is please let me know. I believe this is a depiction of a Maori God, leading me to believe it may be a New Zealand piece.
