This is a fabulous Crumpled Brown Paper Bag Vase by Rosenthal. It is in excellent condiion with no scratches, cracks, nicks, etc. with the excception of one of the bottom corners that shows a tiny bit of wear (unable to even capture it in a photo well) but, otherwise, it is excellent. I have researched the paper bag vases by Rosenthal but I have not found much info on ones the size of mine.
I was not able to capture the Rosenthal inscription on the bottom very well in photos. I would love to know more about it and what the value is. I picked this piece up years ago and I just love it!
Cobalt blue background, white 4-clawed dragons detailed in gold. There are no maker's marks and no signature unless the signature is in Asian/Oriental characters. There are many characters on the vase. One or more of them could be a signature. Possibly of Korean origin. The base material is a brown clay like material. I believe it is thrown not molded. Any information and approximate value you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
