This Gorham Sugar Sifter Spoon ladel is scalloped (almost shell like) with lines of sifting holes. Top of handle is very simple and comes to a point at the top. I am not sure if it is Sterling Silver or Gold Washed silver- although it has a goldish tint to it. On the back at the bottom of the handle just before the label it is marked "Patent 1861" and towards the top of the handle are the 3 Gorham Lion, Anchor and G markings- all are by themselves without any shape around them. The Lion is facing the right and on all four legs. The spoon is slightly tarnished and the top of the handle may be bent a litle out of shape.
Condition is unknown. There are no noticeable dings or dents. Pieces are dusty & are unsure how to clean them.

Beautiful intricate silver box with many themes carved out, looks like it depicts a village of some sort (silversmith working at a table 9appears twice on box), Boy walking with dog, woman washing something in a barrel, man dancing,2 men sitting and drinking, husband and wife arguing with houses in the background, a couple dancing, a woman spinning yarn, boy playing the violin). The bottom of the box is bare except for the imprint of the trademark logo- in the shape of a half circle- on the arc on top it says Barbour S.P. Co. and the line underneath the arc says International S. Co. Below that 3949 is imprinted as well. The outside is in good condition although tarnished some. Inside however looks more used.
