Possibly walnut. No veneer except on the 3 drawer fronts and it looks like burl. Original brass hardwear. 100% wood. Top is 1/2 inch thick solid plank. Has cellaret drawer in sideboard. Had a hutch at one point. Hand carved doors and drawer front, middle 2 stick out then curve back in.... No idea of the date or origin. Help please, whats the wood and value? Thank you
This was a pipe inherited in the 50's I was told it belonged to King Von Ludwig the II I sent pictures to the Smithsonian institue and was told it was a remarkable specimen however this is all the information I've received
I am trying to find out what the different drawers were used for originally. Many of them have covers on the drawer so you have to pull them all the way out to use. Also on the sides there is a wood slat on all three side that I don't know what it is for. Also I'd be interested in any history. My father just gave it to me and he has had it about 40 years. It came with a barn on some property.
This music box is in the shape of a baby grand piano it has four legs, the lid opens and has a latch like a real one does to hold the lid up. The lid also has a portrait and name of TSCHAIKOWSKY. The lid over the piano keys also lifts up to view the keys with a small opened music book. When it is wound up and the lid open it play Once upon a dream.
I would be interested in selling depending on the value.
