I would like some more history on this painting and would appreciate help from anyone. Apparently the artist won an honorable mention for this painting and attended the Ecole de Beaux-Arts in Paris, France.
This painting has a stamp on the back that says Spain on it and a registration tag with additional info is outlined below. I would like to know the real name of the artist. Thanks very much, I appreciate any info.
There is a registration tag on the back of the painting that contains the following info:
Name of painting: Sacre Coeur
artist: L. Laval or something similar ( I can't read the signature very well)
Nationality: France
Place and date of birth: 10/8/1915 (cannot read location of birth)
This item is an antique buffet or perhaps sideboard. It appears to be handcrafted. I think it is made of maple. It has 2 drawers on top (side by side) and 2 doors on the bottom that open to a storage area with one long shelf inside. The hardware (hinges) are butterfly shape and the pulls are almost horseshoe shaped, about 2inches long and hang vertically. The lines are clean with little adornment. Inside the top left drawer is stamped "The Cotswold Group".
Do you have any info on this buffet or history of The Cotswold Group?
two pictures (.jpg), one inside, one outside of a dolls' house. It is made of pressed wood, painted inside and out. A cloth-covered cord supplies electricity to ceilings in the lower level. I'd like to know the year this may have been built.
