Item inherited. History unknown. Believed to belong to mother of deceased. Decdased died in 2006 at 92 years of age. Unknown if accompanying stool originally came with couch or made for it later. No obvious signe of wear.
part of a collection given to my son by an elderly lady in return for helping her fix up her house in preparation of selling it and moving away, hoping the emblem on the back will help identify it, I have tried to recreate it in the photo below, has the date 1776 on it but that is probably part of a brand name or trademark
