It has five ornamental legs and an ornamental rim. It was issued as a token of appreciation for one of my relatives in the 1890s. The base has a "bumped" feel. The tray is solid silver.

2 matching wall sconces

Category
Lamps and Chandeliers
Condition
Excellent
Description

We just purchase a home that was custom built in the early 1970's to resemble a swiss chalet. These 2 sconces are on both sides of our master bedroom fireplace on the third floor. We need more light and my husband would also like to replace them with a flat screen tv. I like them but do not know if they are worth keeping. They could be crystal as they do have a rainbow of colors in the light from the french doors in the bedroom. They are very dusty as the home has been vacant for over a year. I thought that they would match the bedroom better if I painted them black, but do not want to ruin them if they are valuable.

Chandlier

Category
Lamps and Chandeliers
Condition
Good
Description

We know almost nothing about this chandlier, it is handing in the master bathroom of a home we just purchased. The home itself is very interesting as it was custom built to look like a Swiss Chalet and it's in the Galveston Bay area of Texas. We are planning to completely remodel and update the master bathroom. We do not know if the chandlier has any value but think it is quite nice. The home has been vacant for over a year and the chandlier is very dusty. We do not know what it is made of to clean it properly. It appears that the drop pieces are crystal as a rainbow of color is noticed when light shines in over the chandlier from a skylight. I have attached several pictures and have more if needed. The center shaft is gold/brass in color and the body where it is more intricate is a silver light color.
