it is an old fire alarm with telegraph inside. one of the kind that they used to hang in buldings or in town to alert firestation of fires.

We were told this was custom made by a local craftsman.  It is one piece, longer than it is tall.  It has lights in top, shelves in bottom.  Brightens up the room and is great for storage.  Bottom section is open in back.

Very nice 6-drawer wood cabinet stores machine inside.  Leaves open providing more work space.  Sewing machine has decorative stitch cams and other accessories.

Lovely red velvet upholstery, ornately carved with turned wood legs and supports.
