We bought this trunk because of the beautiful carved wood scenes on all sides. There is a large dragon on the top with bats in each corner, smaller dragons on each side and birds on the front. The seller had very little history about the piece. It is darkly stained wood with (brass?) metal accents. I have no idea if it is antique or modern, but I have been able to find very little information about it to date and haven't seen anything else like it yet. Does anyone have any information about this or similar pieces?

This clock is beautiful and works perfectly. It chimes on the half hour and hour and has a nice, fairly deep gong. It has no noticeable imperfections. There is no discernible signature or mark on this clock, but an antique clock repairman said that it resembles clocks made in the 1800s.
