The radio is in working condition. When you turn the power knob the light comes on and then noise from the speakers. So it does work, it's just a bit dusty and needs a good cleaning. 

I assume this is for decorative purposes(I didnt know this when I purchased it). It has a flat handle on one side, and there is no lid its all one piece.  It is very light in weight. The back of this piece is marked made in England.
