Child's Rocker is solid maple, appears to be birds eye, with cane seat which was nicely recaned in 1970. Has 2 inch partial seal on bottom, which is a navy circle, with a red triangle, partly torn. Readable areas of seal say "..n Chair Company, Grand Rapids, Michigan" in blue ring on outer edge of seal. 3/4 in red triangle on top of circle has letter G R M in it, other writing hard to make out. White center of paper seal says "Tables & Chairs" and has pencil marks partly torn off "...E87 1/2" and "...640" Original honey finish except for caning. Good condition.
Glass front cabinet has orignal 'wavy" glass, 4 solid maple shelves, and appears to be birds eye veneer. Water spot mark on top hides nicely under a doily. feet are 3"solid wood balls, dowel fastened. Corners are decorated with carved target shape, otherwise plain. Fair to good condition.
Dresser and nightstand are both birds eye maple veneer, dresser is one large drawer and two small drawers, with some chips in veneer. Had been painted, stripped genlty back adn sanding sealer applied in 70's. Drawers are dovetail. Dresser has hinged mirrow with curved harp of solid birds eye maple, paint residue remains as it was put in storage shortly after stripping was done. Nightstand also has one drawer and paint residue. appears that could be restored to good conidition with some repair.
THe original bed was a 3/4 size tall sleigh bed with birs eye maple solids and veneer, but was in bad shape and disitegrated upon moving in the 60's. The gem of this set is teh rocker, but the glass front cabinet is very nice as well.
