Antique hand carved walnut dresser

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

I know very little about this dresser that was my grandmothers. I'm sure it is antique but that is about it. It may not be American made. I'm pretty sure it is walnut. I think the locks hve been replaced with vintage locks.

Victrola RCA Victor Tube Stereo Console Model 1VF 324a, (superheterodyne), circa 1962

Category
Vintage Electronics
Condition
Good
Description

This is a combination turntable/AM-FM stereo console. It has its original cord.

The radio has "Automatic Frequency Control" and "Filteramic Antenna." It operates via  knobs controlling band selection, AM, FM, reverb, and balance.

There is a storage space, presumably for LPs, in between the radio and turntable portions of the console.

Upon cursory check,  the turntable worked and the radio drew in static. Music was audible from the LP, but not through its speakers. The turntable options, via manual knob selection are: On ond Off, and 16, 33, 45a, and 78 rpm speeds.

Further functioning has not been tested yet.

There is some surface water damage of the finish on the top along with some chipping of the veneer at that location.  There are other minor dings and scratches of the surface.

The front of the console is decorated with spindle-style woodwork over oval-patterned fabric.

Please Note: The color of this console may appear more "reddish" than it actually is due to a cast erroneously added by the program this computer uses to save edited photographs. The most accurate color is found around the color picture of the Victrola grammophone and dog .

Cries of London antique print

Category
Paintings
Condition
Excellent
Description

Antique Cries of London print. Not sure if it's original. Painted by Francis Wheatly and engraved by Vendramini. The name of the print is Knives Scissors and Razors to grind which is #6 of the Cries of London series. The print is in what looks like a very old frame, and it's in very good condition. It was printed in Germany and in the top left corner of print it says KNK 847/1824. The print itself measures 7 1/4 inches by 10 inches. The frame is bigger measuring 11.5 by 14.5. Any information you have would be great! Thanks
