Ice Box

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Good
Description

I got this at an auction and wondering if it is refurbished, which company made this, if it's not authentic, what maker's marks have been removed, etc. The only distinguishing mark is the metal plate with an apparent serial number on it on the inside of the door (1558-7390) It looks too good to be that old! Thank you so much for any additional info. Best,

Josh

Estate pipes and cigar/cigarette holders

Category
Tobacciana
Description

Lot incl. 6 pipes, 3 cigar holders in case, 1 cigarette holder in case, 1 cigar holder w/o case, and 1 cigarette holder w/o case

Yellowish pipe is a "Viscount" Dr. Grabow and says "imported briar" and "ajustomatic"

2 corn cobs, 1 is a Missouri meerschaum and there are no markings on the bent-stem corn cob

White bowl pipe is probably meerschaum with a yellow amber stem--no markings

Pipe with carved face has no markings--a piece of the brim of his hat has broken off

cigar holder with blue interior has triagular emblem with "WDC" inscribed and says "genuine meerschaum"--not sure if mouthpiece is amber or Bakelite

cigar holder in reddish case with cream interior says "guaranteed genuine meerschaum"

cigarette holder looks like amber and says "echt Bernstein," i believe, on the exterior

the last cigar holder in a box has "Frank" inscribed on the green interior and possibly has a silver-ringed end

the pipe that looks like a shoe i did see on another site--they were asking $23

Condition
Good
Description

These were my great grandmother's. I inherited it upon her passing. It is a pair I believe. One is now cracked. i am not sure what the proper care to repair that would be. I certianly don't want the repair to damge it's value further. I am in need of fincacial assitance at this time. I would like to find a vendor to sell these item to also if possible.
