Silver Spoon

Category
Silver and Silver Overlay
Description

Very intricate silver  spoon, it did have a stone in the stem ( Flower shape centre) of the spoon but this has gone.  There are no halmarks at all.  An unusual design all over the spoon and on the end of the spoon, that looks like a face.  Found in a second hand shop.  Paid .50 cents AUD

China with Intricate Gold and Coat of Arms

Category
China
Condition
Excellent
Description

Does anyone have any information on the value, history, or meaning of this set?

There is a crest or coat of arms on the plates and cups, with a lot of gold trim and inlays.  The crest has large black birds holding something like a wreath, and a crown, sword and arrow.  The plates and saucers have very intracate gold edging an inlays.

On the back, marked with a gold seal: Grand Depot, E. Bourgeois, 21 Rue Drouot, Paris

10 large plates, 8 saucers and 8 cups

I haven't run across a pattern/design of this type before, could anybody shed some light on the approximate value, time period, history, etc.?

Ku klux klan pendant type object

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Good
Description

My great grandmother gave me this item, it was her fathers who was a member of the ku klux klan, I myself am a Hispanic American so it is not really an item of my interest to keep I know there are collectors out though who may serve better use to such an item so I was trying to see how much it could potentially be worth if anything.  The top part appears to look like a night looks like it could be hung like a necklace and the circular part has markings when the circular part is spun fast it creates a little mirage image of a cross surrounded by the three K's from the markings on each side.

A super old Photograph of a Family member

Category
Other
Condition
Fair
Description

This is a photograph of one of my family members, I would like to know the time period that it was taken. I know that the gentlemen's daughter in the picture was born 1901 if that would help distinguish the period. If I had a guess on it I would say he was born approx. in 1880 and served in the spanish american war in 1898.
