Wooden chest found in Wales, uk, in a house clearance. Lovely carvings on three panels to the front. Folding lid with hinges lengthways in the middle. One drawer on the bottom. Dovetail joints to the drawer. Feet seem to be added, don't match. Some damage as seen on the rear. No makers marks or names on the wood or metal locks.
Antique tavern card table from a tavern in Wisconsin. Oak, 4 matching chairs as seen in picture. Table has drink holders under table attached to legs. Under the table drink holders followed by a round ball design then by long grooves in legs.
I have a caswell runyan treasure chest. On the bottom is written "3900/c 61" It still has the key inside, and a large piece of piece of paper on the inside talking about caswell runyan.
Inside is a small sticker with the name ("The Grey Hare") and the address and phone number of an antique store that has since closed.
I have an etching by Boris O'Klein that is one in a series called "The Dirty Dogs of Paris." I believe it is an original from the 1940s because of where the title and the signature are. It has been professionally framed and matted, and is in excellent condition.
I have seen these etchings priced all over the place. I really just want to know the value of this item and if I should have it insured?
