I have just recently purchased a Homes & Edwards Inlaid IS 56 piece set in case with dark blue felt. Can you tell what year it was made, I know anywhere from 1937 to 1950 but how does one tell the actual year, are ther any indentifying markings to tell, the set is in excellent condition and an average price it could be worth today?

I have a chinese vase that I am not sure is an antique or not, please take a look and let me know when you get a chance. Thank you for the time and info.
