This is a beveled mirror in the middle with 2 victorian style pictures on each side. It weighs quite a bit but I don't know what it is made of. It had brownish paper on the back for many years but it has fallen off.
Meheut, an early 20th-century French animal illustrator, originally published a portfolio of cats, panthers, wolves, sheep, fish, geese, salamanders, dragonflies, and myriad other creatures in 1911.
These appear to be photographs in a portfolio (a few are missing) of his sketches.
I'm guessing that this was the basis of this 1911 animal studies book. They have been water damaged, but most of the images are aged but in fair condition. I've attached some images for your viewing.
I'd be interested in a value as I want to sell this collection.
