We ate a meal, sitting on the floor, in Algeria similar to this.  It has places to set a cup.  Went in a shop in Algiers that had a few of these, different sizes.  Thought this would make a nice 'coffee table' for my formal living room.  After I got this table home, I had it professionally cleaned, then a piece of plexiglass for the middle to protect it..  Found a very nice coffee table (glass top) with a fruitwood frame that framed it perfect. Amazing find..  No longer have the formal living room which is why it is for sale.  Have not advertised it yet as I want to know more about it the tray.  Where was it made?  Is the writing Arabic and does it mean anything?  Or is it just an  Arabian type of calligraphy.  Any information or direction to look would be appreciated.

Here is a very unique piece. It comes from an estate sale. The person it belonged to traveled all over in Europe and had a nice collection from glass and other antiques. All pieces were labeled with her own handwriting. This piece had a “Galle Glass” labeling. The appraiser on the estate sale verified that it is a Emile Galle early work.

I love this piece. It is delicate and beautiful. It is a blue glass decorated with pretty flowers with enamel. It has a handle in yellow.

It measures a 1 3/8’’ square at the top rim, the round bottom 7/8’’ diameter and approximately 1.5’’ tall.

It is in mint condition I could not find any flaws.

It is not signed.

I’ve been researching for a while to verify its origin. The appraiser I know was not sure if it is Galle.

I know that Emile Galle started his work on clear glass with enamel.

I find one piece from that time the flowers were the same.

Can anybody recognize this cutie?

It is a 1' fluffy headless dog ceramic/like vase. The dog is white with black spots on it including a black tail and black on the paws. It is on its hind legs resting on a brown tree stub or stick like object. At the bottom of figurine it says James B. Beam Distilling Co.

 I have aquired a Mendel Tourist Steamer trunk at a Storage auction. it is a very interesting piece so i decided to do some digging. This trunk measures 3' Length x 1' 8' Wide x  1' 4" Deep. It is in Good condition, unfortunately somebody has changed the lock and 2 latches on the front of the chest and the handles on the end. When the trunk is up on its end it has 3 drawers with silver handles, on the left side  9 wooden hangers at the top which attach to  2 rods. on the bottom of the left side is a flap of material which clips up to make some sort of compartment. The outside of the chest is made of some sort of pressed board, has a large H with a circle around it on both ends,and a small piece of metal on both ends which sais Mendel Tourist. I have been told it is from the late 1800's ,and that they used to be used as luggage on ships.

 I have searched the internet and have not been able to find anything on this particular edition or on the pages that appear to be signed by Moss & Arnold. Could this book really be signed by these 2 significant figures in American History?

I bought these 2 chairs from a friend about 17 years ago. I know she had had them for quite some time before that but that's about all I know about them. I would like to know more about them and their possible worth because I'm looking to sell them. The chair in most of the pictures is in better shape than the other. The seat of the other is busted and the front legs have seperated.
