Notation on Back of Wooden Frame:16 X 26 OIl on Canvas signed Claude R. Hirst NY Title: Sunflowers
I have researched the artist and know she is renowned for her trompe l'oeil style paintings. In the early 1880's she painted floral compositions. I feel this painting most resembles her 1881 painting entitled, "Roses". The treatment of the leaves and overall style are very similar. The ornate plaster frame has damage to the left side and the picture itself is in good condition. It has a few minute paint chips and is dirty. It is signed Claude R Hirst NY on the lower right. Is there anybody that could tell us if this is an original Claude R Hirst oil painting and what the possible value may be?
Silver-Tex Prophylactics I believe to be from the 1920's. They're made by the Killian MFG Company of Akron, OH.
Cardboard box of 4 individual boxes of condoms. All of the condoms are still in the box. One dozen total. Each individual box is in near mint condition.
Any information on this item would be a great help, I've been looking around the internet and asking around my local antique shops but nobody has any info on them.
This is handpainted. The pictures show 5 seperate Japanese people all with differant writing. A dark burnt red encircles the upper and lower parts of the pot. There is gold painted in various areas. It comes with 5 identical cups with lids but 1 lid is missing. I'm assuming it was a set of 6 and there is an additional cup and lid missing as well.
My husband found this on the street in New York, it is missing the hands and the glass face but it still ticks and the mechanism still works. It has a liberty watch logo and a serial # 513281
