Antique Dove Figural Cast Metal Table Lamp

Category
Lamps and Chandeliers
Condition
Excellent
Description

I found this antique lamp 10 years ago and have searched to the end of the internet for some info on it. I have not been able to find another even close.

I have taken it apart and have found no makers mark or any identification markings at all. The black base is a cast metal covered in a black enamel like finish. There is a perforated brass spacer next. Then the Dove and tree trunk. It is hollow and appears to have been cast in a mold from a white metal, probably tin or ? The outer foilage may have been soldered to the molded body as I see no way to have cast this all in one piece. But, maybe I am wrong. The metal dove and tree trunk/foilage is all covered in what looks to me like a baked enamel or possibly porcelain. The detail is amazing.

The lamp stem is a piece of threaded and shaped metal tube with the same finish coating as the dove.

When I found this lamp, it had a custom made rectangular silk shade that was falling apart. There is a shade makers personal label dated 1947 Dallas TX. This may have been the original shade or not.

This lamp appears to me, to have been made as a lamp, not an art piece that someone added a lamp stem to.

Any info on this lamp will be greatly appreciated. I have exhausted my search abilities.

Colonial Queen Sailing Ship Shadowbox

Category
Decorative Arts
Condition
Good
Description

Was wanting any information I can get on this item. From what I've searched it is also a Turner Mfg Co item.

It is hanging in my fiance's den and his grandfather had it.

I was looking to accessorize this item with the history of the Colonial Queen if it is a real ship.

Japanese ginger Jar?

Category
Asian Art
Condition
Good
Description

Can someone tell me what this is? Seems to be a Ginger Jar of some sort. The only markings are either Chinese or Japanese writings that i don't understand. I think it is pottery since it is thick and heavy. I have no idea of it's age-value or provenance.

Thanks

Roger
