The inside bottom of the plate says "Commemorating The Coronation" "June 1953" Underneath the picture of two people it says "Queen Elizabeth II Duke of Edinburgh". Along the inside edge there is gold leafing approximately 1 inch all around. At the top is stamped Canada and the around to the bottom are the emblems of each province and their flower. Also, the very outer edge of the plate has a very thin line of gold leafing. There are no cracks of any kind
This antique Chinese vase looks very old. It is made of some sort of ceramic pottery (earthenware, stoneware, some sort of ceramic clay, etc..). Unfortunately someone used this vase for a lamp or something else, and there are three holes in it. One hole on the top of the vase's lid, one hole at the bottom side, and one hole in the bottom of vase right through some of the Chinese markings. Other than that, this vase is in very good condition. And the detail on it is amazing. It was definitely hand painted, and all of the art on it was done one dot at a time, and you can feel each dot. I'm not sure what this type of art is called. It also has several blue and red flowers on it done the same way. I did a little research, and the top right Chinese letter on the marking represents either the Ming or Qing Dynasty. Again, being this detailed, with millions of bumps or dots on it for the artwork, it was must have taken a long time to make, and I would think it was made for someone important. I was just wondering if anyone knows how old this piece is, and it's value, with and without the holes in it. It's a very beautiful ceramic vase, and I will be happy either keeping it or selling it. Please let me know if anyone has any info on this. Thank you. I tried to add pics and even resized them on here but it won't allow me to add any. So please click on this link to view pics I have of this vase.
