KPM China

Category
Ceramics and Porcelains
Condition
Excellent
Description

I have 2 sets of tea cups with saucers that were handed down to me by my grandmother and grandfather. My grandmother is from Montreal, Quebec and my grandfather is from upstate, NY. I know they traveled a lot but if they are from 1904-1927 my grandparents would have been children when these were made. I did some research online and found a web site that has the mark listed http://www.porcelainmarksandmore.com/silesia/waldenburg_1/00.php the particular mark that is on my set is image either 1-22 or 1-23 I cant tell if the color is blue or green, I think its green. Other than this web site, I cant find any other info or items that are for sale with this mark. I don't really know what exactly I have, so I would just like to know more about the pieces...

Antique Chinese Carved Bar

Category
Furniture
Condition
Fair
Description

Wooden bar featuring carved Asian (Chinese?) panels. Overall shape is Western, art deco style, not Asian. Top lid opens up to reveal intricately carved wooden panel showing Asian fishing village and temple scene. Outer doors have panels showing figures (monks?) walking on paths and also Chinese-looking dragons. Lift-up tray in upper portion of bar. Doors swing out on front to reveal storage. Has curved/rounded doors in both of the front corners. Also has doors on each of the sides. Interior lined in green felt. Top of lid (when closed) shows damage in veneer from a steam iron. Some of the carved panels on the front are of a different color wood and are probably replacements. Would like to know rough idea of value.

John F. Kennedy picture by Fabian Bachrach

Category
Paintings
Condition
Excellent
Description

I can not post a picture right now, but my Mom purhased at a garage sale a picture of John F. Kennedy. He is sitting in a chair with his left arm on across his body and on top of his right arm. There is part of the American Flag off to his left shoulder. He has on a blue tie with spots on it.
The picture is signed by Fabian Bachrach and on the back, there is a stamp that says the following,
"Another Fine Product
by
DAVCO INC.
Subsidiary of Chelsea Industries
Peabody, Mass

The picture is in excellent condition. Although there are a few small knicks down underneath the arm of the chair in the picture.

CAST IRON COFFEE GRINDER

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Excellent
Description

Heavy Cast iron Coffee Grinder. Has a wooden drawer with a brass placard that reads:
peugot freres
valentigney
modele dopose
and has a picture of a lion standing on an arrow

The base of the grinder says:

PEIUGOT FRERES
BREVETES S.G.D.G.

There is also a 2 on one corner and a A on the other corner.

I am interested in finding out the dates this was made. I have had it maybe 25 years and have always loved it. It's been all over the country with me. Does anyone know it's value or when it was made?

P.S. someone once told me it was made before the family made cars - there son armand was the one who delved into automobiles?? not sure if this is accurate?

Thanks, Stacey
