This is solid mahogany desk with stamp inside the drawer [colonial mfg co. and a #518 on the bottom of the drawer left to me by my aunt believed to late 1800s
I inherited this silver coffee pot from my Mother. There is a paper inside that is a letter to my Mother from her Mother's cousin stating that this coffee pot was part of a wedding dowry of my Great Great Grandmother, Julia Harris Fletcher, in 1845. There are no marks on it except for the number 2249 roughly engraved on the bottom.
They both have buttons and yellow tags in the ears. They do not say made in Germany on the front of the tag, but on the back. And "Button in ear" is in German. They are both numbered on the front of the tag, the tall one is 0155/32 and the short one is 0155/28.The tall one has a growler.
