This is a very delicately and intricately floral and scroll engraved silver teapot. The engraving encompasses the top and rim portions of the vessel with engraving and scrollwork on the handle and spout as well. The mark has three symbols: an Olde English "C" in an octagon followed by a winged gryphon? or creature on a shield followed by an Olde English "P" in an octagon. Under the symbols are the words "Community Plate" followed with "Chelsea" underneath. The teapot has a short round base.
