The desk is more like a table with one hidden drawer. There are dragons on each corner near the table top and each leg terminates with lions paws. The table/desk is ornately carved with the exception of the actual top which is smooth and shiny. The second section of this piece is a cabinet which you set on the top of the table. It is as intricately carved and has one hidden drawer and a little door you open that exposes a small storage area and another small hidden drawer. There is a matching chair that has a strange shape. Not the typical dragon chair because of the 90 degree back.
Picked up this corner cabinet almost 4 years ago at a roadside shop here in SC. When we purchased it, it was in bad need of sanding and new hardware, as it was missing the latches and had old milk paint chipping off. The orig. cut nails are still in place in the cabinet.
