Old Furniture

Category
Home Furnishings
Condition
Excellent
Description

This is are items which my mother has had for 40+ years.  They are all part of what made up our living room furniture.  They items have primarly been in our home on display (rarely used).  All items have a gold color (not sure what the material is) and are very heavy.  The condition of the items are above average.  There is also a dresser with mirrors and a chest that are just as old and heavy as well.

Summers Gold

Category
Paintings
Condition
Good
Description

Found this painting in an old house my mother was going to move into. Its of a pretty flower in a paleish mustard color frame and a signature on the back of it was signed Vernon Ward with the title Summers Gold. I looked him up online and he was a famous painter born in the late 1800's and died in the 1950s. I have looked at auctions online for his paintings and none of the paintings i saw were this one. When i did an image search on Google there was only ONE picture of it and it was NOT one that i had posted on the internet anywhere. Someone please help me to identify if this was a real painting done by Vernon Ward or if it was forged.

eye machine

Category
Other
Condition
Fair
Description

I found this eye machine in a house my mother was going to move into.. the man use to be an optometrist so im assuming it is some sort of eye machine.. it has cards with it and it looks like nothing ive ever seen before. The cards have a word written on them that translates to english as Lazy Eye. When you open the top up there are little wheels and slots where you can put the cards and then when you turn it on you put your head up to it and look in and they spin. There is also a knob with different numbers that either speeds it up or slows it down. I was just wondering what they sell for or what it is for that matter and who could possibly be interested in buying something like this or where we can donate it. We live in Texas
