German WMF Ikora Vase

Category
Art Deco and Art Nouveau
Condition
Good
Description

I have a silverplated German WMF Ikora vase, numbered 8022.  It is 10" in height, copper/brass & silver in color.  I'm not sure how to describe the pattern etched in it other than it spikes up and down.  On the bottom, under the sticker, there is a logo etched in it that says WMF enderneath, as well as IKORA, GERMANY & SILVERPLATE.  I found a website that says this logo and etching was used for this enamelled copper vase between 1925 and 1950.  I don't know if some of it is discolored or if it was made this way, as I really don't know much of anything about it.

I have a set of Royal Haeger peacock vases with the mauve agate glaze.  They both have the Royal Haeger silver label on them, although one of the labels only has half of it left.  They are 9.5" in height, have the number 712 on the bottom and are in pretty good condition, with just a few imperfections on the bottom.

Late 1800's Signal Cannon

Category
Militaria
Condition
Fair
Description

According to my grandfather (a carpenter by profession) before he had any children, he dug it up when he discovered it while digging the foundation of the house that I am living in now. According to him, he found it when he was 27 years of age. He was born on the 25 September 1924, therefore he found it in the Year 1951 and he built a cement stand outside the house to display it. The 2 powerful hurricanes in 1990 and 1991 destroyed the cannon stand by sea flooding as we live in the costal areas.
