This silver thimble has a band of seven turquoise stones set around the bottom, with ornate fleur de lis type designs in between the stones. The top of the thimble has a small mandela design on it. Otherwise, it is covered with dimples, as per a normal thimble. It is in the original cardboard box, but the top of the box is mostly broken. On the box it clearly states: The Cowell & Hubbard Co. Jewelers Cleveland O. It is most likely from the late 1800s to early 1900s and was owned by the Sister of my Great Grandmother.
The purse is reddish brown or burnt sienna color. It has a black plastic handle and a gold metal clasp. Champagne color, satin lining. Three Pockets, one zippered and the other two are open or just big enough to slide the hand into them. One is over the other, may be for a mirror. Andrew Geller stamp on the interior and on the metal frame, stamped into the metal, "Made in WGermany".
I have 3 of these types but only one has the Made in WGermany stamped on the metal frame. The colors of the other two are gold and white.
It is a solid block Merschaum pipe. Circa England early 1800's. "Flying Mare". It has a very small chip on the underside of the horse's leg, otherwise it is in pretty good shape. It definitely been well used.
It is a cream colored album with sleeves for each record. It has a 12 page story about Glenn Miller at the beginning of the album. Other than some yellowing it is in prime condition. It has this on the bridge of the album LPT 6700 (5)
