Has been in family for 34 years to date.  Do not know exactly when manufactured.  Original manufacturers stamp is inside left side rail of pencil drawer.  All woodwork and hardware is original to include pulls, etc.  Has some surface scratches on top (front/right corner) and side of right pedestal from previous family storage.  Original wood grain seems to be excellent otherwise.

This black painted carved chair was inherited.

My father was born in 1926.

I have photo of him age 2 on chair.

His mother inherited it from her grandmother, who reportedly carved it with her sisters.

This pictures appears to be a print.  My grandmother (who is 83 years old) recieved this when her mother passed and it hung in her mother's house for years, so it is from the 1800's.  It appears to be a print in glass with a metal chain frame.  Underneath the picture is says "The ornithologist by Sir John Millet"
