Antique Chair

Category
Furniture
Condition
Poor
Description

I would like to know the period this chair may have been built and the value.  It was my first antique purchase over 30 years ago and I have yet to restore it as planned.   Bottom burlap and intricate web system holding springs rotted so chair is not functional for sitting until repaired.

Wood - no signatures, mfg marks, etc.  Was grandma's chair, been in our home for past 20 yrs. Does anyone know anything about this chair?  How old is it?  Does it have any monetary value? Just wondering whether we should take it to Goodwill, or keep it in the family?  Thanks

18th century arcade chair?

Category
European Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

I was told this chair could be 18th century. Its very heavy has a lot of wear on the bottom rung, many nail holes from reupholstery and  the turnings have slight variations between them. Any Ideas as to its origin, age, type of wood and style? It does have springs but I was told they were  possibly a later addition.
