I picked this up at a garage sale because I thought it was pretty. It is heavy and feels like solid wood. The underside in unpainted or worn down to what looks like bare wood. Red and black with accents of gold throughout.
The man I bought it from says it was by a famous Asian artist from New York City who did a lot of horse themed stuff. That's all the information he had and I don't know if it's true.
Three framed prints from the Cries of London series. Plate 7, Plate 8, Plate 13.
All seem to be in great condition. Minor spotting on the border that doesn't affect the images themselves. The colors on them are very light. Didn't notice the color at first when I bought them but the black lines are dark so I don't believe it's faded at all.
I've seen full color reproductions and some that are completely just black and white. I've not seen any similar to mine that are so lightly colored. The colors appear a bit more intense in the image attached.
I know very little about them and I've not been able to find much detail. I've seen them sell as cheap reproductions and $400+ from English antique print sellers. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I have a dresser set from Paris during WWll. It is 3 pieces of blue Czech glass and the perfume bottle has an original stamp. The Dauber /Stopper of the perfume bottle is etched with flowers and the bottle is draped in gold.It is very ornate. There are two additional jars of the same blue crystal glass handcut. The jars have a sort of star design in the glass. They are mint Condition slightly heavy and beautiful. I believe they are very old but could find no date. The stamp is worn but says genuine handcut crystal Czechoslavakia. Any ideas on value?
