Unknown Oil Painting by G. Whitman

Category
Folk Art
Condition
Fair
Description

This is a beautiful fall colored landscape picture of a river, mountains and trees. This is a large painting on canvas that measures 24 x 20 for the canvas alone, and with the solid wood frame that it is in it measures 32 x 28 Painting needs to be cleaned as it was picked up out of an estate clean up, however the is one pencil led spot that appears as though it may go through and through but is in the sky area and not very noticable to the average person. There are some crackling of the thicker paint in a couple of places but the majority of the painting is good. Painting is signed G. WhiTman and has an Artistic Interiors label authenticating it as an origional oil painting with a certificate number of 195704. Frame on the back states "HECHO EN MEXICO" on the flap that is present attaching to the back of the canvas frame is the name Fraiser, the address 108 Green and with the additional writing which appears to state Houre/Centa and has a date 12/  /1981. I cannot read the actual day. This painting appears to have been painted with the canvas flas and was mounted to it's frame after the painting was done. I have multiple pics, however they are all larger than your sight allows

Antique Handel Harp Floor Lamp

Category
Lamps and Chandeliers
Condition
Good
Description

Purchased at a Thrift store. The only history that I have is the thrift store stating it was an item donated from an estate sale. It caught my eye due to it's unusual appearance and antique qualities. I assumed I may have quite a find when three different people approached me while pushing it in my buggy and asked to purchase it from me. It took three hours online research to find the Harp style. The actual Floor lamp looks identical to Handel Harp floor lamps made in the early 1900's. The felt on bottom side of base has   deteriorated and there is not a cloth tag stating Handel or inscribed in the metal, does this mean it is not authentic? Also, the lampshade is quite a dilemna, I can not find one like it whatsoever. The lantern style shade has three yellow amber crackled thick glass panels. One of the glass panels is missing. Is their anyone out there that has enough wisdom on lamp history to enlighten me on this beautiful unusal floor lamp? I would love to find out the history, authenticity, and possible value of the lamp. Thank you in advance for your expertise!!

pottery pitcher what is it who made it?

Category
Pottery
Condition
Excellent
Description

This pitcher is 6 1/2 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches across the bas by 15 inches around the center and has an applied handle. the pattern looks to have been embossed before it was hand painted in blue with flowers and also trimed with gold. The bottom only has a blue R and a raised square which some potteries had a serial number nothing legible here. The condition is good with no damage but all over crazing.
