Brass Flower

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Excellent
Description

This is a beautiful brass flower (not sure what type of flower) Any way all of the petals disconnect and appears to have been individual ash trays. I notice four diamond shaped markings on the stem of the flower.

Also there are other markings such as a tiny pin hole on one of the petals and another pin whole marking on the stem. The item is Brass I beleive and each petal is carved with line indentions for the detail of the flower.

I found this item at a thrift store about 10 years ago. I saw an item semilar and the seller was saying that is a rare piece and it would go up in value.

Vintage Meat Cleaver

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Excellent
Description

I have a vintage meat cleaver found in an old building in Lewisburg, TN that used to be a slaughter house prior to the 1950's. The cleaver is a 10" with a hickory handle. The markings on the cleaver say Cevoine (I am not sure about the v) underneath that is a diamond shape with the letter A in the center of the diamond and underneath the diamond it says WARRANTED. Directly under that is stamped the number 10 which I assume is for the length of the cleaver portion. The cleaver is in excellent shape.

Old Animal Tooth & Bone Tribal Necklace

Category
Jewelry and Gemstones
Condition
Good
Description

Old Animal Tooth & Bone Tribal Necklace. I purchased a jewelry lot and this amazing necklace was part of it. I have no idea what type of animals were used to make this. There is one large, what I believe to be a canine tooth, incisors and two femur bones that have been cut in half- the spacers are made of bone. The string portion is missing on the ends- I do have one piece and it is a twisted fabric or hair that is extremely brittle.

Sterling .925 brush, comb, and mirror set from r. Wallace and Sons, petunia pattern, 5500

Category
Silver and Silver Overlay
Condition
Good
Description

We have a brush, comb, and mirror set from the early 1900's made by R. Wallace and Sons.  It is .925 sterling silver and in the beautiful "petunia" pattern, numbered 5500.  I was able to find it in one of their catalogs from the 1910's but unable to find any information on it's current value.  They are very sturdy and fairly large, and the mirror is beveled and in exquisite condition with virtually no spots or distortions even though you can tell it is old.  The brush is full and not missing any brissles, and looks like it has seen very little use.  The comb has all of its teeth and is in great condition as well.  Can anyone tell us what items like this have sold for at auction?  I can't find anyone else with a set like it or auction sites that have sold anything similar in sterling.
