I received the cameo pin as part of a lot from a lady after her yard sale. I had asked at her sale if she had any jewelry . She said that she had some in her house and to come back in a few days. When I returned I purchased a couple of lots from her.
The cameo has the Greek goddess Athena on the front. She has a dragon and a face on her helmet. The back is very smooth and pink. There is a loop at the top of the back for a chain. I think the cameo is set in brass but I don't know for sure.
I've had this brooch about 10 years and never knew anything about it. I did learn on line today that the figure on the front is Athena ? The cameo is set in bass maybe. There are no marks anywhere. The cameo has a dark pink and very smooth back. It has a small loop on the back at the top , I guessed this would be for a chain so it could be worn as a necklace also. I purchased this at a yard sale. I asked a lady if she had any jewelry and she said to come back in a couple of days. I did , she had a lot of jewelry so I took the lot. The brooch was part of the lot.
Art Deco Chandelier, I think it's original to the house... has 5 glass 'bulb covers', glass bottom, I think it's made from cast (Iron?).. a magnet sticks and it has a rough texture.... very heavy... all glass is in excellent condition.
wedding gift to relative in 1929 - at that time it stated is was already over 100 years old. It is pure Georgian and the silver is molded over the clay form.
