Had envelope of papers inside, letter from Hanson Clock MFG. Co., no dates but letter has phone# on it for Hanson Mfg & it is only a 5 digit phone #, Letter says, manufactured by Swedish cabinet makers who mostly learned in Sweden & migrated to America, letter says it is made of Honduras Mahogany Wood & the movement that is in the clock was imported movement made by clock makers of Europe, letter says dial is made of etched bronze. The side panel windows have decorative wood covering screens that are worn & torn with age. It wasnt working when we discovered it in the attic of this old home so we took it to a clock repairman, he believed it was a Brittish clock with a value of app $3800. I would like to know how old it is, or where to look on it for a sign of how old it is, if it is a Brittish clock, should the screens that are torn be replaced, & its value. And after cleaning & replacing 7 bushings the clock works beautifully.
