This set was given to me by my late mother-in-law. A relative purchased it while on leave in Thailand when he was stationed in Korea. While the case is not in pristine condition, it is original. The label in the upper left-hand corner of the lid reads "Star House, Registered Ordinary Partnership, 991 Ploenchit Road, Beside Telephone Organization, Tel 57772 Bangkok Thailand". The flatware has never been used and to my knowledge, has never even been out of the case. I may be interested in selling it in the future, but not at this time.
The entire set consists of service for 8 (knife, fork and spoon), 4 serving pieces and a sugar shell.
2 oil paintings Renoir-At the Opera and Rembrant-Aristotle contemplating the bust of Homer both in very good condition we are wanting to know their value
What I am told..this is a copper black powder container. Apparently it was recovered from Johnston's camp @ Picket's Mill. It was to hold the black powder that goes in the cannon's. It must be rare, because i can't seem to find any information about copper black powder kegs/cans. If anyone has any information to add about what this is, I would appreciate it.
I would love to know the history of this piece. I have been lead to believe the single double wickered canopy/porters chairs are rare but have never seen another double porter's chair. Anyone have some information? I would love to know. Thanks!
